Juice Detox Eczema Recipe

Juice up to get enough nutrients from organic fruits and vegetables to detoxify, nourish, and heal your skin from eczema.

Dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a group of diseases that results in inflammation of the skin. In early stages, the skin may be dry, itchy, red, and swollen, with small blisters and weeping of fluids. Later, the skin generally becomes crusted, scaly, and thickened. Usually on the face, hands, elbows, wrists, and knees. Other possible symptoms include burning, the appearance of papules, and a tendency for the skin to be exposed to bacteria and viruses. Keep in mind that eczema is not contagious.

If the liver and kidneys are overburdened then toxins in the blood will eliminate through other areas such as the skin (an eliminatory organ) which could cause eczema. These toxins could come from a high-acid diet (highly-processed & junk foods, refined oil & sugar, meat, dairy, wheat, and eggs), stress, and the environment (pollution). Also, chemical sensitivity (ex. laundry detergent), nutrient deficiencies, allergies, and poor digestive health. The liver health reflects well on the skin. Eczema could be a sign that your body is not eliminating toxins efficiently. Because skin can often be the first visual sign of underlying disease or imbalance in the body and a sign of disease in the gut.

While it is difficult to know the cause of this skin condition person to person. Clearing up inflammatory skin conditions through a high-raw alkaline diet, incorporating lots of fresh raw pressed juices help clear up and detox the skin. A regular intake of fresh fruit and vegetable juice is a natural way to reduce the symptoms of eczema.

More than 10% of people in the USA are thought to suffer from some form of eczema. Eczema and other inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis affect millions of individuals worldwide.

Understanding Eczema

Our Grandfather Story is a youtube channel that tells timeless and overlooked stories from Singapore and beyond. Last month, they released an interview with people battling Eczema who answered questions like, “Is Eczema contagious? Do you like the way you look? Were you ever asked on a date?” Watched and listen to their sentiments to fully understand eczema.

I realized, how easy it is to forget that you have like a painless shower. For normal people, who have good days every day, you don’t appreciate your good days as much as we appreciate our good days when we have bad days.

Juice Fasting & Diet

By eliminating some foods from your diet and cleansing your body through a juice detox or a juice fast, it can help the healing and cleansing to improve your gut health.

By getting vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables that consist of simple sugars and metabolically simple foods, it will allow your body to devote its energy to heal itself than breaking down complex foods that take multiple steps of enzymatic breakdown to derive energy (glucose).

Be prepared for the first 2-4 days, it can be painful while as it is a drastic adjustment (metabolically) from your normal diet.

Some pitfalls during a juice fast are lack of fiber that may cause constipation, inadequate protein intake, and the need for essential fats for optimal cellular function.

Combining juice detox and juice fast could improve the symptoms of eczema.

Cook your own food so you’re aware of what’s going into your body. Fruits and vegetables can help alleviate the symptoms of eczema. Stick to mostly vegetables. Stay away from the highly acidic plants. Tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and many peppers are the common foods of the nightshade family. Remove the skin from tomatoes or potatoes if it’s your case. Sugary foods, coffee, alcohol, and flour could have a negative impact as well. Alcohol and caffeine are also diuretics which dehydrate the body. Complex carbohydrates (pasta, bread, rice, etc.) in excess could cause flare ups.

For kids, it is eggs, cow’s milk, and peanuts are sources of food allergies that are most commonly associated with eczema.

Beta-Carotene makes skin vulnerable to thickening. Carrot, kale, parsley, and spinach are great sources of Beta-carotene.

Bioflavonoids are beneficial in controlling inflammation and allergy. Parsley, cabbage, sweet pepper, and tomato are great sources of bioflavonoids.

Selenium deficiency. Red Swiss chard, turnip, garlic, and orange are great sources of selenium.

The Best/Recommended Juicer

With a masticating juicer, eczema could clear up in 24-hours to almost normal. Compared to a centrifugal juicer with not as much.

The juice from the centrifugal juicers destroys its nutrients in the process due to heat and oxidation as the cell walls are ripped open. Masticating (cold press or single auger) juicers process is slower, gentler, and so the cell walls aren’t completely destroyed, meaning the juice has more enzymes and nutrients, and last longer.

Centrifugal juicers separate the juice from the pulp using gravity. It spins really fast and the juice is ejected through the basket’s tiny holes.

Masticating juicers squeezes the juice out of the pulp then it is ejected into the pulp tray. It produces more nutrient dense juice per calorie than a centrifugal juicer.

Celery Juice Trend

The Medical Medium made Celery Juice Movement popular with 171K #celeryjuice posts and 321K #medicalmedium posts on Instagram.

Anthony William, the “Originator of Global Celery Juice Movement” and the author of several health books including “Medical Medium Celery Juice: The Most Powerful Medicine of Our Time Healing Millions Worldwide” says, it was from a voice he hears that tipped him off about celery.

This would depend on the person. But if you’ve heard success stories. It is important to use organic celery. If the vegetable is full of pesticides and herbicides juicing would be useless.

Organic is imperative when juicing. Especially celery which is meant to cleanse the liver (more specifically cleanse the liver of all the toxins we put through it in the first place).

Juicing celery is a good way to get your daily serving of vegetables. Solely relying on celery juice to cure your eczema would be irresponsible. Listen to your body, if celery juice helps, great! If not, discontinue.

No evidence that certain foods cause eczema flare ups. But plenty of people report fewer symptoms by eliminating certain foods. Everyone has their own set of triggers that could be good or bad for their eczema. It is difficult to assume which particular food is “good” or “bad” for this skin condition. Be open to trying a variety of options. Listen and observe your body for any signs of harmful effects.
